A little bit about us-

3 Dachshunds Records is a consumer-friendly small business. I was taught by my Dad at a very early age about consumer satisfaction. I used to ride along with my Dad on weekends when he used to go out of town to supervise one of the many service stations he was supervising (he worked for a Petroleum Company). He taught me at a very young age about making customers happy, doing the right thing, inventory control, etc.

I learned many things as a very young youth about business that some kids didn't learn until after they left high school. Having ran and worked for many businesses during my life, I have an unique perspective on managing a business. I love talking to customers, and my knowledge is fairly sufficient to really contribute to any conversation. We here at 3 Dachshunds Records have a 100% guarantee policy.

Origin-

Named 3 Dachshunds Records in memory of three former pets, Ware decided during his years of collecting merchandise to expand into records. His brother, a music major in college, used to be in the record business, owning his own record stores. That along with Ware's own knowledge about records, enticed him to pursue that direction. Having grown up in the sixties, as radio stations played "classic" records, Ware heard them all as there were only a few years of rock n' roll before that time.

Record sales have really increased for the last 13 years while CD sales dropped during that same period. The "total" sound you hear on a Vinyl Record exceeds what you hear on a CD.

The last 13 years has seen a revival of interest in long playing 33 1/3 rpm vinyl records (LP's). Perhaps it is a backlash against the CD trends, not unlike abandonment of 8 tracks or cassettes of former generations. The colorful LP jackets showing the singer usually with a biography on the flip side and the careful handling of the LP, transferring it from jacket to the turntable shows a patience and love for the collection that CD's do not muster. There is also one element of sound that comes through on a vinyl pressing but not on a CD.

So many young people are into vinyl. Parents always tell him about their kids getting turntables for Christmas or Birthdays and many more bring in their children or grandchildren and show them about records, using turntables, etc. Parents love passing on their knowledge about earlier era's loves and  what made them happy and so many kids are enjoying their vinyl as well, having grown up listening to Dad's and Mom's Music.

Ware's careful grading, cleaning, and placing records into new polysleeves indicates his love for records but also the desire to sell an appropriate priced record. Ware not only discounts records based on actual condition but also on the jacket condition. He simply sells records for their worth.

The store does in fact have something for almost everyone.

Vinyl Picks of the Month

Abbey Road is the eleventh studio recorded album by The Beatles. It was released in 1969, and while Let It Be would be the last album released before the band’s big break-up, Abbey Road served to be the last album the band started recording prior to their split. Abbey Road incorporates styles such as rock, pop, blues, singer-songwriter, and progressive rock, and makes prominent use of the Moog synthesizer and guitar played through a Leslie speaker unit.

Dear Monsters, Bad Wolves

Dear Monsters is the third studio album by the American heavy metal band Bad Wolves. It was released on October 29, 2021 through Better Noise Music and was produced by Josh Gilbert. It is the first album to feature vocalist Daniel "DL" Laskiewicz, after the departure of Tommy Vext from the band in January 2021.

Unreal Unearth, Hozier

Written during the COVID-19 pandemic, Unreal Unearth serves as Irish musician Hozier’s third studio album. Inspired by Dante’s Inferno, the album is framed around Dante’s concept of the nine circles of Hell. The album includes the singer-songwriter’s original dialect of Irish within the songs. Aliya Chaudhry of NME remarked that Unreal Unearth "traverses a variety of styles from softer piano ballads like 'Butchered Tongue' to up-tempo folk-pop 'Anything But' and fuzzy-guitar rock stomp 'Francesca'", making the album "a product of going where the song takes you.”
